We teamed up with Outdoor Recreation Council BC to make some noise about new, steeper wildfire fines. Applying the “you break it, you buy it” rule to wildfires, we put giant price tags on trees in popular outdoor areas.
On the back of the tags we had the simple message: You Burn It, You Buy It.
Letting people know that there is a price to pay for starting a wildfire. A big one.
We wanted people to think twice before acting irresponsibly in the wilderness.
For scale: The price tags were really big.
