The Canadian Fair Trade Network wanted to raise awareness for the devastating human rights violations that occur on many West African cocoa plantations.
To get consumers to think twice about the type of cocoa they consume, we gave away free hot cocoa in cups printed with thermal ink. When filled, they slowly revealed the message: “1.8 million children work on cocoa plantations. Many of them are slaves.”
