As a kid, John wanted nothing more than to be Batman.
A realist, he knew this dream would need to be financed, so he decided to get a real job first. Taking inspiration from Commissioner Gordon’s highly targeted out-of-home advertising piece—the Bat-Signal—John became a copywriter.
Equipped with a marketing degree from the University of Calgary and a copywriting certificate from Humber College, he has worked at Ogilvy in Toronto and C&B Advertising in his hometown of Calgary.
Along the way, John realized he could do good without a mask. He’s been recognized by the Webby Awards, Advertising and Design Club of Canada, Marketing Awards, and the Crystals.
At night, John can be found scouring the streets of Vancouver in search of dark, rich pints.
