Rethink boot tops charity auction

Rethink boot tops charity auction

A musical boot created by Rethink intern Leia Rogers took the top bid at the Art to Boot Charity auction on September 24 (hear the boot by clicking here).

The MJ-inspired boot, covered in rhinestones and featuring a built-in MP3 player, fetched $340 at the auction.

Rogers spent nearly five full days glueing more than 500 rhinestones to the boot by hand. “After this experience, I realize why fashion designers are all crazy,” she said.

Art to Boot is sponsored by the Australian Boot Company and Granville Island Brewing. Proceeds to the boot auction go to the Access to Media Education Society, which helps disadvantaged youth find their voice through multimedia projects. For more information visit http://blundstone.ca/arttoboot/.
