Aspen, Colorado (USA)

"I’ve had some great vacations, including being rocked by a 7.3 earthquake in Costa Rica in ‘91 (photos long lost). But my most memorable vacation in recent days was my trip to Aspen, CO in the summer of 2008. I’ve been to Colorado many times and I'm never disappointed. I met up with some university friends in Denver, then drove the three hours to Aspen. We stayed at a friend’s horse ranch just outside of Aspen, which truly was a slice of heaven (see pic). Hikes through the aspen trees, strolling through Aspen, the Aspen/Snowmass Jazz Fest (mmmm Ben Harper), great weather and good friends made it a memorable one."
