Rethink wins two Communication Arts Awards for excellence in Typography.

Communication Arts magazine, the largest international trade journal of visual communications, has announced the winners of its ninth annual typography competition. Rethink won two awards for Excellence in Typography, with the work featuring in the forthcoming January/February 2019 issue of Communication Arts.

Here’s a closer look at the winning work.

Megan O’Connor (a Vancouver-based film editor) needed a business card that not only communicated what she does, but promoted her services. So, we decided to take her contact information and rearrange it, much like a film editor would tackle raw footage.

Nothing brings people together like fierce competition. So to get people primed for King Pong–our annual ping pong tournament–we created a poster you can play by tapping into your smartphone’s accelerometer. Physical posters also used real states of gameplay to promote the event, creating a unique series where no two were the same.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the work!
