While the nation focused on our boys bringing home gold at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, another battle was being waged, off the beaten path, in rinks across Toronto.
Nike searched for the stars of Canadian GTHL hockey whose focus on training and athleticism paid off on the ice.
Twenty-four players were secretly scouted and invited to an underground 3×3 tournament,on a custom rink made for speed on the ground floor of an abandoned building.
Up for grabs was an authentic Nike Team Canada jersey and tickets to the gold medal game. The only currency needed to earn it, was speed. This is the Nike Speedhouse.
